Transport of paper rolls

Transporting paper, especially industrial paper, requires special care and preparation to ensure that your rolls reach their destination undamaged. Quality control in terms of packaging and securing are crucial to prevent damage during transportation. There are different transportation and securing options depending on the roll, paper, weight and size. This may require the use of sturdy wooden pallets, plastic sleeves, foam padding and straps to hold the castors in place.

Paper transportation

Important features when transporting industrial paper

  1. Weight distributionThe weight of the paper rolls must be evenly distributed on the transport vehicle to avoid one-sided loading and instability. This requires careful positioning of the castors on the loading area.
  2. Weather conditionsBad weather and moisture can jeopardize the transport and storage of paper rolls. We use special transport tarpaulins and appropriate rain protection to protect your paper rolls from moisture.
  3. Through our warehouse and corresponding warehouse logistics we are able to temporarily store your paper rolls centrally and then deliver them to individual customers, compensate for bottlenecks and bring your goods to their destination in a route-optimized manner – all from a single source.
  4. For us communication and the interaction between the transport company, our driver, and our customers is crucial to ensure safe and punctual transportation. Of course, unforeseen problems can always arise, but it depends on how quickly you solve them together through good communication.
  5. Our quality controls ensure that your paper rolls are checked for damage before transportation to ensure that only flawless rolls are dispatched.

The transportation of industrial paper rolls requires close cooperation between the shipper, the transport company and the recipient to ensure that the rolls are delivered in the best possible condition. just-in-time (JIT) and just-in-sequence (JIS) condition.

These measures are important to us so that we can keep the transportation risk to a minimum.
